Stewardship in Action... 70 Years of Risk Management

Why would a church—still recovering from the devastation of the Great Depression of the 20th Century—invest $25,000 (the equivalent of $355,650 in today’s economy*) in an idea pitched by William Benjamin, a typewriter salesman? At the end of His time here on earth, Jesus commissioned His followers to go and make disciples of all nations. The Lord often leads His people to accomplish His will in seemingly strange ways. This is the story of Adventist Risk Management’s service to the Seventh-day Adventist Church and of God’s marvelous guidance in providing resources to help the church minimize risks while fulfilling Christ’s great commission.
