freestanding ambulatory facility
A freestanding facility, such as an ambulatory surgical center, freestanding surgi-center, freestanding dialysis center, or freestanding ambulatory medical facility, that: (1) Provides services in an outpatient setting; (2) Contains permanent amenities and equipment primarily for the purpose of performing medical; surgical, and/or renal dialysis procedures (3) Provides treatment performed or supervised by doctors and/or nurses, and may include other ancillary professional services performed at the facility; and (4) Is not, other than incidentally, an office or clinic for the private practice of a doctor or other professional.
