The Claims and Legal Services Department handles many types of property/casualty claims for the church. They adjudicate some claims, and functions as a liaison to various commercial insurance companies on others. They handle all claims arising from risks insured by Gencon Insurance Company of Vermont (Commercial General Liability, Hospital Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Ocean Marine, and Commercial Property). Cases to be taken to court and tried to a verdict are selectively chosen.
