Adventist Risk Management, Inc. is the risk management service of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Incorporated in 1995 and recognized as a General Conference institution, our 160 employees in six locations (Silver Spring, MD; Atlanta, GA; Riverside, CA; St. Albans, England; Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Gibraltar) provide professional oversight of the risk financing tools owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Our staff also provides quality risk management service to denominational organizations worldwide. These services include client visitation, insurance placement services, claims management, risk management education, and loss prevention. We also develop effective methods of risk control, help the church evaluate risks, and provide prudent risk financing solutions.

Adventist Risk Management, Inc., and the related GENCON family of companies are managed by a consolidated board of denominational administrators and risk management professionals. The treasurer for the Seventh-day Adventist Church serves as the chairman of the board of directors. We have board members who work in the corporate structure; they bring to this group corporate risk management and insurance experience.

As a Seventh-day Adventist institution, ARM’s programs are specifically tailored to fit the needs of Seventh-day Adventist organizations and denominational employees. ARM annually manages more than $150,000,000 in denominational assets as we work together to achieve the mission of the church in proclaiming the gospel. We work closely with leading insurance companies to deliver effective risk management programs in addition to those provided by our own captive insurance company.

We believe that risk management is a ministry of active stewardship. We also believe that loss prevention is the key to success, and therefore, we offer seminars and other training resources to help our clients become more aware of issues that are impacting to their organizations.
