(Silver Spring, Maryland) Adventist Risk Management, Inc. (ARM) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new board member, Julee Thomas, director of risk and insurance for Adventist Health in Roseville, California. Thomas will serve on the Gencon Insurance Company of Vermont board as well as the ARM board of directors. Thomas has over 20 years of expertise in insurance program management, specializing in commercial and excess lines of insurance. "We are excited about the perspective in underwriting and insurance programs Julee brings to these boards," says Bob Kyte, president of ARM.
Thomas is an active member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) and has served as president and vice-president of local chapters of that organization. In her role at Adventist Health as a member of the Hospital Professional Liability and General Liability (HPL/GL) Trust committee, Thomas provides operational oversight to self-insured programs for professional and general liability exposures.
A graduate of Walla Walla College and California State University, Thomas also holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the Insurance Institute of America as well as the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation from The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.
