(Silver Spring, Maryland) Adventist Risk Management (ARM) field service representative, Jonathan Valls, delivered risk management and insurance coverage training to church administrators of the Zimbabwe Union Conference (ZUC) in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, on April 4 and 5. The topics ranged from the mission of ARM to church risk control, child protection policies, and general liability issues specific to ZUC operations.
Expressing appreciation for the training sessions, ZUC treasurer Makhosi commented, “Our eyes were opened to many new things about risk management and I want to think that ZUC will never be the same.”
The two-day training is part of ARM's ongoing effort of educating Seventh-day Adventist church treasurers and risk managers around the world, on reducing losses and encouraging safer places for ministry growth.
